Tornado

This afternoon, a tornado hit my grandmother's house. It tore the yard to hell, ripped out numerous hundred year old trees, destroyed some of the house. Thank God my grandparents are still alive. One tree fell on the house. The news crew was out there, and it was one hell of a mess. The good thing is insurance is going to fix everything, but there is a lot of work left to do. Her house was pretty much in the woods, now it is sitting on a prairie, its surreal to see. No trees anywhere to be seen. I am just glad they made it out.

Bio Physical #6 / Due Date Mentioned

Today was rather interesting. We had a great bio physical, but were rushed off to the hospital after the fluid tests came back! We spent a few hours in the hospital, before our doctor came in to give us the news we have been waiting for. We were hoping for a delivery today, and anxiously awaiting. They had to do a three hour glucose test on Kelly to make sure things were fine with her. We will get those results back soon. Anyway, onto the diagnosis.

The fluid showed only part of her lungs are developed. We were thinking they were going to take Olivia today, but since she has no real good lung development just yet, they are going to wait one more week, and guess what, they are going to deliver her!! We now have an official due date! It is:

Tuesday January 9th, 2007! We welcome our little miracle into this world.

Hospital Visit/Fluid

Tonight we went back to the hospital. This time it was because Kelly was in terrible pain from the excess, and I mean excess fluid in the uterus. They wanted to give her some pain relief, so they suggested we drain off some of that fluid. Well, they did just that. It was quite amazing to watch. They basically stuck a four inch long needle into Kelly's upper abdomen, and into the "water." Our doctor drained off 250cc of fluid (a lot). They are going to test this fluid to see if Olivia's lungs are developed fully, and if they are, they are going to take her tomorrow sometime!! If they arent developed, they are going to schedule a C-Section date for next week. So, regardless, we will have a baby this month!! Kelly did great, they released her about three hours after the procedure, we got home, and went to sleep!
